Creative Minds at Center Time

Help me give my students the materials they need to stay organized during center time. My students need these materials to learn responsibility when practicing their skills!

My Students

My students are outstanding, inspiring, and amazing children ready to start their first-grade year! With the state of the world, my students are suffering immensely from the impacts of COVID-19. This year we worked together to make it through online learning. I was extremely inspired by my students' efforts to participate as best they could despite not having access to basic materials- WiFi, pencils, notebooks, and in a lot of cases, quality food. We need your help!

Our school is a K-8 school located in North Philadelphia.

All of our children qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. I want to make sure that my students have all the materials they need to become successful in first grade!

My Project

The materials in this project will allow my students to thrive in practicing their skills independently through center work. My students feel the most successful when they are working to improve their skills in reading and math.

The bins, pencil boxes, paper, and containers will help students keep their center materials organized and prevent students from sharing as we are still in the midst of a global pandemic- allowing for effective and safe learning!

In a school where we are only allotted so much paper for an entire school year this is also an essential item! This way students can have their own work to complete and not just rely on looking at the screen or over the shoulder of a partner.
