This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My proposed project materials will provide enriching art opportunities in the classroom for my students. The art supplies will allow my students to create art that accompanies our literacy curriculum. Many of these art supplies will coincide with read aloud stories where students can create and share ideas that they have learned. These art activities will also provide fun and engaging learning opportunities for my students to collaborate with peers.

My goal is to build pride and self-confidence in my students by developing self-expression through enriching art activities that will help us meet our first grade learning goals.

This project will help enhance and enrich the literacy goals with artistic elements that are not always included in the traditional grade-level curriculum. The art supplies are intended to help my students express themselves in new and creative ways.
