Creative Kids Nutty 4 Knitting

My Students

Our students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners.

The coronavirus has made me realize that children need hobbies outside of sports and video games.

Many of our students have never been exposed to the art of creating things by hand.

I want to start a knitting, sewing, and embroidery club at my school - open to all grades - to teach our students a creative hobby.

My Project

Hobbies come in all sizes and shapes. I don't know many elementary school age students who knit and sew but I want to bring this creative talent to the children at my school.

I want to start a 'Creative Kids Nutty 4 Knitting' club at my school.

Any age student will be invited to join - boys and girls. We can sit around and chat and my colleague and I will teach them the joys and skills of making something beautiful out of a ball of yarn.

Knitting, sewing, and embroidery don't just use artistic skills. They require massive amounts of math as they estimate, measure, and make their creation.
