Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are absolutely the best! They are vibrant, energetic, delightful four-year-olds of all different learning abilities. They attend school with big smiles and are eager to learn and have fun. I teach pre-kindergarten on the border with Mexico, and some of our students are low income and bilingual. I love providing my students with positive learning experiences. I want all my students to be able to strive academically in a safe and positive learning environment. They love to create and bring their ideas to life. They often work in groups for collaborative projects that involve brainstorming, designing, and building together.

A 3D printer will encourage hands-on learning experiences.

They can design and create physical objects, which helps reinforce concepts learned in class. It will keep them engaged and teach them to problem solve as a team.

Overall, it will encourage their creative and innovative minds to turn their ideas into tangible objects, fostering creativity and encouraging innovative thinking.

My goals for this project are to teach my students to design and understand the principles of 3D modeling, giving them skills relevant for future careers in technology and engineering, and integrating STEM subjects with art and design to create a more holistic learning experience for them.
