Creative in Kindergarten

My Students

The kindergarten students in my class are inquisitive, energetic, and hardworking scholars. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. It's my goal to create an engaging, positive, and organized classroom environment that helps all students to thrive.

I teach math, science, reading, and social studies at a Title I-funded school in Arlington, Virginia.

In our classroom, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, project-based learning, and flexible seating to ensure each student's needs are met!

My students are active learners, they are scientists, problem solvers, explorers, and creators. I am so lucky to be teaching this amazing group of students!

My Project

My kindergarten students are so creative and we would love a Cricut heat press machine to help us make projects for our classroom. We received a Cricut but need the materials in order to use it. This project can help us create name tags, labels, craft projects, and bulletin board designs! We can also use the Cricut to label items around the classroom to enrich their environmental print awareness. This can boost a child's ability to recognize everyday words that are a part of their life. Due to COVID we also have to use individual supplies in the classroom. This machine will help me to create labels for student materials and belongings!

My students will be able to use these materials to create stickers, decals, labels, and decorations for our classroom!

Crafts are a fun exciting way for students to express themselves and with this Cricut, it will surely brighten their classroom environment!
