This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Art plays a crucial role in early childhood education, offering children the opportunity to develop both fine motor skills and imaginative thinking. In my classroom, I encourage students to engage in various art activities, from painting to crafting, as a means of self-expression. These projects allow them to explore their creativity, tell their own stories, and develop a sense of pride in their work.
My goals for this project are to help my Kindergarten students take pride and ownership of their work.
A drying rack would allow for better organization in our classroom, helping students to access their work easily and take ownership of the creative process. It would give them a sense of pride in their art and offer them the independence to manage their own projects.
We are a Title 1 school, where all of our students receive free lunch. Our community is surrounded by agriculture, and the families play an integral part of our learning community. My students are special because for many of them, their education and experiences in the classroom are one of the few opportunities to express themselves creatively and build their skills for the future. This donation would provide them with the tools to thrive in a creative environment that nurtures both their independence and their ability to collaborate with their peers.
We would be truly grateful for any support you can provide toward this donation. Your contribution will directly benefit the development of my Kindergarten students' creativity and independence, enabling them to engage in meaningful art experiences that will stay with them for years to come.
