My Project

Art encourages creativity and imaginative thinking, two skills that are increasingly linked with long-term professional success. Art forces children to engage in out-of-the-box thinking and can help them hone their creative problem-solving skills. Movement, image, color, line, and imagination all help children express themselves in a multidimensional way. This is a way that words may not be able to do, or that may be more comfortable for them than words. Early child literacy skills in art and crafts cover a wide range of areas – students will use construction paper, scissors, and paint to express themselves. When kids make art or crafts they will use the dry erase markers, buttons, and glue sticks to talk and draw about their work which develops their communication skills.
