Like many theater arts classes, the impact of COVID-19 has been substantial, with traditional in-person rehearsals, performances, and collaborative activities disrupted. The transition from in-person to virtual/hybrid learning created challenges for our students including social isolation, increased stress and anxiety, difficulties in maintaining focus and motivation, and unequal access to resources.
By integrating these requested resources into my theater class, I will be able to support my students in maintaining their social-emotional well-being, honing their performance skills, and fostering a sense of artistic community despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.
These materials, including a backdrop and paints, will help them in creating the needed elements for their drama projects.
