My Project
A common problem with class sets of art supplies is that students often do not take care of them. Missing lids, ruined tips, broken crayons all end up making supplies unusable halfway through the year. So three years ago I got all the supplies and boxes necessary to make individual art kits for each student to use on all the science projects and assignments we do that need color. Students are held individually accountable for all the materials in their art box for the day, so they take very good care of the supplies. But over three years and of a lot of use by nearly 400 students, many of the supplies are just starting to wear out.
With brand new crayons, markers, and colored pencils to refill each student's art supply box, students will have everything they need to let their creativity soar while being responsible for the supplies given to them.
The big box of class markers will be divided up and put into their individual art supply kits. It is just a cheaper way to buy these supplies. So many of our notes , assignments and projects are greatly enhanced by the addition of color. It is just awesome when we have the right tools to the job!
