This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are building our Middle School Library program to create a fun and welcoming space for students to come before school, during lunch, and after school with more structured and unstructured games and creative activities. Our students love our collaborative coloring station and puzzles, but we are looking to incorporate monthly "Crafternoons"- various crafting opportunities throughout the year. We will offer activities such as making friendship bracelets, Perler bead keychains, Shrinky Dink charms, and origami creations.

These Shrinky Dinks, hole punches, and origami paper will provide our students with opportunities to let their creativity shine as they participate and craft as part of our library program.
