My Project

In our K–5 classroom, creativity is more than just fun—it's a powerful learning tool. Through this project, Creative Connections, I hope to provide students with both basic and adaptive art supplies like crayons, markers, textured paper, adaptive scissors, and grip-friendly tools. These materials will help all students, regardless of age or ability, explore their ideas through art, deepen their understanding of academic subjects, and build confidence through self-expression. Art helps them engage more fully with lessons by making abstract concepts visible and hands-on, whether it's illustrating a story, designing a math pattern, or creating a visual science journal.

My goal is to ensure that every student has access to creative tools that meet them where they are and help them grow.

What makes my students special is their diversity—in learning styles, backgrounds, and abilities—and their incredible determination. Some need adaptive tools to fully participate in class activities, while others benefit from the sensory experience art provides. But every one of them shines when given a chance to create. With your support in providing the SEL art bundle and other inclusive materials, our classroom will become a place where all students can connect ideas, express themselves, and experience the joy of learning through art.
