My students need composition notebooks to complete bellwork and work on their writing skills. I plan on cutting the notebooks in half to be more economical.

My Students
I'm gearing up for another school year with 9th or 10th grade inner city youth! We really need to focus on grammar, vocabulary acquisition, and writing in general, so my students need composition notebooks. I haven't met my new students yet, but I already know that they are deserving young men and women who have the potential to achieve great things. Vocabulary acquisition is an area on which these students really need to work and daily bellwork will help them achieve their academic goals.
My Project
My students need to work on their writing skills. It's simple, to do this they need paper/notebooks. These composition notebooks will help with our daily routine, and will help the students work on their skills. They will have daily bell-work. On Mondays and Tuesdays, students will correct sentences to with on mechanics, usage, grammar, and spelling. On Wednesdays, students will practice their reading skills by analyzing short passages. On Thursdays, students will review a concept or with on vocabulary aquisition. Finally, on Fridays students will participate in a sustained silent reading activity and they will reflect upon this in their composition notebooks.
