Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach two different levels of Spanish class. Learning a new language isn't just vocabulary and grammar. Students need to be able to learn about the culture. While learning about the culture we have the opportunity to do some creative activities to help my students learn. The plastr craft will help me be able to have my students make mini piñatas and small alebrije creatures. The paper streamers will be used to decorate them along with the paint cups to keep the paint organized. The foil will help add structure or shape to the creatures. The staplers will help keep things attached. This project will help keep the students engaged while being able to be creative as they learn about a piece of the Spanish speaking culture. This will also give them something to take home and show their family and friends.
