My Project

My students are an energetic, funny, loving bunch of kindergarteners! They are excited about learning and love new ideas and hands-on learning activities. For many of my students, school is the place where they feel safe and loved. They like routine and structure and they know what to expect when they are here. Our school is an urban school that has 98% of the students on free lunch programs. We have many students who are homeless or stay at shelters around our school. When students enter our doors, they know they will be fed, loved, and will be taught in the best way possible for their individual learning styles. Many students come to school hungry, tired, and angry. The Magna-Tiles, dough set, trucks, and monsters will provide my students with hands-on resources to create and engage them during center time! Kindergarteners need more hands-on learning to help with fine-motor skills.
