This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students from Brooklyn are imaginative, creative, thoughtful and inquisitive. They love hands-on, active, engaging projects that challenge and make them smile. They come to school each day, ready to try new things and take brave challenges individually and in groups in order to grow both personally and academically.
Every year I get an incredible new group of students that are ready and excited to learn!
My Project
The materials will support my students to build on their imagination and academic skills. They will also work in groups to build on their communication and negotiation skills. First graders continue to work on these skills throughout the year. Whether it's practicing their phonics skills or building a birthday cake they will be engaged with these materials. Having materials that support children on their early development is very important.
The donations to this project will support their love of hands-on and engaging activities that will bring a smile to their faces!
