Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school strives to find the leader in all students. My prekindergarten class is part of what makes us a family. Our school is filled with students with many unique qualities. We all teach and learn differently, yet our goal remains solid. We are helping children become life long learners by building upon their strengths and different learning styles. Each day my students give me a reason to smile. They are filled with energy and inquiring minds. They inspire me and eachother. Many of my children come from low income homes and many even live in shelters. When the children enter our classroom they are part of our prek family. Our classroom is like a safe haven and a home away from home. The children are full of excitement and ready to explore and learn about the world around them.
My Project
The materials I have requested will make a difference in my students learning. These materials will enhance their problem solving skills, and their critical and creative thinking skills. The children will use hands on activities to learn about cause and effect and trial and error. Through the use of these materials, the children will develop skills that they will use throughout their education and in life. For example, they will develop communication skills, new approaches to learning, as well as science and math skills. These materials will help students to develop determination through problem solving. This will keep students actively engaged while learning to keep trying and not to give up.
