This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 22 hard working, silly, and amazing first grade students in a small East Texas town. They love to work with hands-on activities, make creative art projects and play games. My students do not respond as positively to worksheets or seat work activities as they do to physically manipulating the words, letters, or manipulatives.

My students love to work in centers or sing songs to learn new concepts.

I strive to make my classroom a fun and exciting learning environment.

My Project

My students love to work together and learn during learning stations in our day. We have stations for both Language Arts and Math. Every item in this project will help my students to learn and grow during stations.

The wireless headphones will allow more room in my listening station as they don't have to be sitting right next to one another.

The science stations will help to enhance their learning in those specific science skills. The play doh stampers and the writing box will help them to be more creative in learning how to write. I know that my student's will love using these activities during their station time.
