My Students
This will be my first year in a new school and new grade, so I have not met my students yet. However, I want them to know without a doubt, how much I believe in them and how much I want them to thrive this year. I hope to manifest kindness and courageous students. Most of all, I want them to think of learning as this amazing thing we get to do, not something we have to do. I know they will love moving around the classroom and creating things, and most of all, I want them to to feel loved and at home in our classroom.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to create a variety of things by utilizing their creativity. This will be in the form of STEAM bins, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics bins. They will be given simple instructions, for which they have to use their creativity to produce. For example, the instructions may be: Create a robot. They can use any materials available to them in order to create their robot. These types of activities will be incorporated into all subjects and makes sure the arts are included throughout their day. These will also be used to manifest creativity once students are finished with their work or for morning work when they first enter the classroom!
