Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have two classes of 22 students. most of my students come from low-income families. Their parents work hard to support their children. Many of my students have never owned their own books. That is why I have them create their own books. Giving them a chance to use their imagination to create books they can own always helps them to become successful writers and readers. The materials I’m asking for will help me do this.

The colors and glitter pens will help in decorating their illustrations.

The laminating machine and film will make their books last for a long time so they can touch and enjoy them. The blank books will be used for them to create their own small library to have for themselves. The headphones will help them listen to stories on desktop computers. The adapters are for some of the computers. The headphone port on the computers sometimes doesn’t work with the headphones.

Please help my students to become great writers and readers. With these materials, they have a chance to use their imagination to create their own stories.
