Creating With Cricut

Help me give my students and teachers the opportunity to create using the Cricut Explore Air 2 to personalize projects and our learning environments.

My Students

All people are makers... finding the medium is essential. Making is an essential part of Design Thinking.

Our students K through 5 use technology tools to create and learn in facilitated Design Thinking focused grade level projects.

In Creating for a Cause, our students dedicated their recess time to create lithophane night lights to sell to benefit our local Children's Hospital by donating over $1000 from their designs.

Our students come from many different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, but the ability to create is innate in all of our students. Creating and impacting the school and community are important to our students.

My Project

The 4Cs of education - Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration are essential for our students. The Cricuts will help our students to create more projects that will impact our school, families, and communities through cards, banners, wall decorations, and more.

This project will help support our mission of Design Thinking through the use of the Cricuts and the creation that both our students and teachers will be able to do.

Our community projects are centered around creating for a cause in collaborative groups that create a product to sell to benefit others. Last year students created and donated over $1000 to our local Children's Hospital through their designs. The Cricuts will provide our students with even more creation possibilities as well as powerful learning around measurements and design.
