Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you for considering donating to our project. I am writing as I am starting a new year with new students at 2 new schools and want to make sure its a good one for them. I am hoping to use the clay at both schools (which will house roughly 800 students) so I may have to do a second project. The first batch would be using the clay at Christmas time to make ornaments for their family. The older students would use the polymer clay to make jewelry or a statue for a loved one. The resin would also be available to older students. If I get enough clay or run a second project, I would use it at the 2nd school (after Christmas break) to teach them the fundamentals of pinch and coil pots and allow for creative thinking with polymer clay for the older students. I have also included some lights as I am starting from scratch with no decor either and would like to add a fun touch to the room.
