Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will provide my students hands-on learning opportunities through STEAM-focused activities and creative play. The LEGO Education kits will enhance their understanding of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math by allowing them to build, experiment, and solve real-world problems. These kits encourage critical thinking and teamwork, key skills for their academic and personal growth. The regular Legos will also support an inclusive Lego club where students of all abilities and language levels can collaborate, create, and develop social-emotional skills in a welcoming environment.
This project will empower my students with tools that inspire curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
I aim to create spaces where they can strengthen their academic and interpersonal skills while building confidence and community. By integrating STEAM activities with open-ended play, this project will help students develop critical 21st-century skills in an engaging and supportive setting.
What makes my students unique is their resilience and determination. Many are English learners, navigating the challenges of acquiring a new language while excelling academically. They bring diverse experiences, strengths, and creativity to the classroom. Despite obstacles, they are eager to learn and thrive in hands-on, interactive activities. This project will celebrate their unique talents and provide meaningful opportunities for them to succeed, connect, and grow.
