My Students
My classroom is a hands-on, learner-centered environment. I strive to give my students a fun and engaging learning environment so that they can take learning into their own hands. I want my students to enjoy the learning process. My students are in a moderate poverty area.
Our school is a primary campus that serves students in PreK through 2nd grades.
We live in a high military area, so some of my students parents may be deployed. When a parent deploys, it can take a toll on the students. Simple things, like having someone to play games with, might be a difficult task.
My Project
This project is designed to reach our lowest students in grades K-2nd. The puzzles, games and hands-on materials will make students who are typically bored with standard learning materials, excited about learning again! We are building a program that is fun and engaging, but to do that we need exciting materials!
The materials in this project will allow our students to have a fun and engaging learning environment!
These students are struggling and we have to create an environment that exciting and wonderful! Research suggests that if students do not learn to read by the time they leave second grade, they are at risk for severe learning difficulties for the rest of their lives!
