This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hands-on tools help preschoolers learn and grow. In preschool, we work on story comprehension and telling and retelling stories. I will use the puppets at circle time when introducing stories. (Puppets also increase engagement with the story). Then students have the opportunity during center time to use the puppets to retell the story or make it their own.
My goal is to build their storytelling skills and engage them with literacy experiences.
My students are imaginative and playful, they just need to get the right tools and experiences to blossom as storytellers.
