My students need Chromebooks to overcome obstacles in reading and writing.

My Students

My students are incredible and talented 8th grade students who some times have less advantages than the average American student. We often write and experience English by exploring how reading and writing is used in the 21st century. My students are often from the inner city and have traumatic experiences in their life that can hard to deal with. AND STILL THEY PERSERVERE.

They are desperate to make connections from the world they know to the bigger world they want to see!

My Project

My students and my class will be mobile this year. Our school has expanded by over 80% in the last 4 years. As a result my students need a digital way to store and share their work since our class will meet in various rooms.

Students will use the Chromebooks EVERYDAY and for MANY reasons.

Their primary function will be to provide accommodations for students with reading and writing disabilities. This way, students can have articles read to them or dictate writing pieces.

They will also conduct research in order to help generate connections with their own interests.

Finally, students will be gaining the necessary skills to use a computer and online sources that would not get at home. Most students need this time working with table and saving materials in order to be successful in high school and beyond!
