it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love to play with Lego's. I think it's time we take child play and kick it up a notch and learn how to use Lego's to animate and make movies.
I have a wonderful group of middle school students.
They are not quite kids nor yet teenagers either. They are exploring the world around them and are starting to let go of their toys. Many of them still play with Lego's even though they won't admit it. I want to take this child's play and put an educational twist on it.
My Project
We are requesting a stop motion camera, books about making stop motion movies, and Lego's. With these resources we will learn to build sets, write scripts, and animate. We will become animators, engineers, and creators. We will work collaboratively and create something bigger then ourselves. Disneyland CREATE.
Students will learn to write scripts, storyboard, and time.
They will work together, problem solve, collaborate, have discussions, and have fun. They will do more then play with Lego's, they will create art and learn while doing it.
