This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Families in Far Rockaway, NY were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. So many of my students lost their homes, their belongings, and precious memories.
We are a class of Fifth Grade students. Our school is primarily low income and of mixed ethnicities. We work hard every day to give our students stability and joy during the current times. They are a happy family of students who love to learn everyday.
My Project
These resources will be used as part of a scrapbooking project to help commemorate new memories after the devastation of Sandy. The paper will be used to create scrapbook pages with bright brilliant colors. The paper punches and scissors will be used to cut shapes in the paper and decorate it.
Memories are the most precious thing we have, and losing beloved families photos can be the most devastating part of any loss. Help my students make new memories after the storm. Thank you.
