My students need high interest reading intervention games and puzzles in order

My Students
My classroom is a hands-on, learner-centered environment. I strive to give my students a fun and engaging learning environment so that they can take learning into their own hands. I want my students to enjoy the learning process. My students are in a moderate poverty area.
Our school is a primary campus that serves students in PreK through 2nd grades.
We live in a high military area, so some of my students parents may be deployed. When a parent deploys, it can take a toll on the students. Simple things, like having someone to play games with, might be a difficult task.
My Project
Our school needs hands on materials for our tutoring program. We run a before and after school free tutoring program. This program requires an hands on approach to teaching reading! We have students who are at risk and require urgent intervention. In order to provide this intervention, we need hands on materials to spark our students interest.
We want to create readers who are intrinsically motivates.
Our program is very successful, so we are requesting these hands on games, puzzles and word building kits to help our students grow and surely blossom! We have students in kindergarten through second grade that need help now before their gap gets any larger! Our students are so appreciative of this project and it’s a great teaching tool to help them understand the value of a community! We are asking for phonics, reading skills, vocabulary and literacy centers to help our students become successful and motivated readers!
