Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love how resilient my students are. I work at a region one low socio-economic school where the majority of my student are English language learners, and none of these characteristics have ever stopped my student from achieving their full potential.
My Project
I will like to create a personal space for each one of my students. My students need an environment where they feel secure and safe as well as have a feeling of ownership and belonging. Due to the current situation, we don't allow students to share any materials. I work with 3-year-old students, and at that age, kids learn through play and hands-on.
Uniqueness, individuality, and diversity are part of my classroom environment, and supporting these qualities is a major part of who I am.
My students need to have their own supplies to nurture their imagination and creativity.
