This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 24 bright 5 year old students who are eager to learn and explore throughout the school year. I enjoy seeing their little faces light up when they learn and build new things. They are so proud of themselves when they complete a project and are excited to share what they have done with their peers, family and myself.
My students have fun posing for pictures and seeing their projects displayed around the room.
For many of my students, this is their first schooling experience. Being able to capture special moments throughout the year will allow my students to look back at pictures they have taken and share them with their loved ones. My students attend a Title One School and come from a low social-economic background. Ninety-eight percent of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Despite the many challenges they may have, they come to school ready to explore and learn everyday.
My Project
Sharing special moments with family members is amazing. Capturing those moments with a picture will be cherished forever. What better way to capture those moments than taking pictures of them during holidays, school events, field trips, and their creative projects .
Our class will use the canon camera to capture special events throughout the school year.
We will use the printer, ink and paper to print all the wonderful pictures taken of students and their projects.
Students will be able to use the pictures taken throughout the year to write about their experiences. They will be able to use rich vocabulary to talk about the pictures that were taken of them at that time.
