My Project

A key feature of effective teaching is the selection of instructional materials that meet the needs of students and fit the constraints of the teaching and learning environment. The instructional resources I use usually fall into one of two categories: student-centered and teacher-centered. In the student-centered model, instructional resources will be used for tutorials, problem solving, discovery, and review. In the teacher-centered model, resources will be used as supplementary or primary material in the classroom.

I look for resources that are designed to foster learner independence because it’s essential that I give students the opportunity to engage more thoughtfully with the content.

I love being able to empower my students to be in charge of their own learning by presenting them interesting, open-ended tasks that target real-world skills, meet our learning objectives, and enable students to make choices and then measure and reflect on their progress.
