Creating Mathematical Literacy Through Books and Games

Help me give my students math-centered books and games to promote mathematical literacy and conceptual understanding! This also includes saucer chairs.

My Project

If there's anything I've learned, it's that literacy applies to EVERY subject area. As such, I plan to incorporate reading mathematics trade books into my curriculum.

I am a firm believer in a growth mindset, and hope to incorporate games and reading into a math classroom with remove the stigma that surrounds mathematics.

Creating a book nook (saucer chairs) as well as game days where we practice math basics in fun ways is something I want to create to motivate my students to enjoy math.

Math CAN be fun, and I hope to teach my students that!
