My students need hands on materials to enhance our math block. These resources will help give my students a different approach to learning math skills. These games and activities will help me to fulfill that mission.

My Students
My classroom is hands on, learner centered environment. I strive to give my students a fun and engaging learning environment so that they can take learning into their own hands. I want my students to enjoy the learning process. My students are in a moderate poverty area.
Our school is a intermediate campus that serves students in 3rd-5th grade.
We live in a high military area, so some of my students parents may be deployed. When a parent deploys, it can take a toll on the students. Simple things, like having someone to play games with might be a difficult task.
My Project
Students need engagement in their educational surroundings in order to develop a deep understanding for content information. I like to expose my students to a variety of methods to learning important mathematical skills so that they are able to make a real world connection. Every lesson should have a real world tie so students can connect their learning to their every day lives. I want our math time to be meaningful and give them a concrete way to practice important skills!
This project will help make our math time more engaging and fun!
