it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students' boundless energy, curiosity, and creativity. Many of my students are English Language Learners (ELLs) and come from diverse cultural backgrounds, which makes our classroom an incredibly special place. They are eager to explore and express themselves, and art gives them a powerful way to communicate beyond words. For my inclusion students, art is an essential tool for sensory development, motor skills, and emotional expression.
The painting easels I’m requesting will make a huge difference in their learning.
By giving my students the opportunity to engage with art in a more hands-on, immersive way, we’re not only fostering creativity but also supporting language development and fine motor coordination. ELL students, especially, can use painting to share their ideas and emotions when language barriers exist. For inclusion students, the physicality of working at an easel will help strengthen their motor skills and give them a sense of independence and accomplishment.
My goal is to create a classroom where all students—regardless of language or ability—can thrive and express themselves. These easels will empower my students to be proud of their unique contributions, helping them build confidence, develop critical skills, and connect with their peers through art.
