Help me give my students colored ink and supplies to create exciting literacy centers.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wels's classroom raised $340
This project is fully funded
My Students
My classroom is full of 24 kindergarten students who are eager to learn new skills. They attend a K-8 elementary school in the rural foothills of California. Our learning community is made up of many low income/high poverty families. Many students have not had the opportunity to attend preschool.
Our school recently experienced a fire that left our classroom with nothing.
We are hoping to replace materials so we can continue having a fantastic school year. Kindergarten is the environment for children to begin new learning experiences that will allow them to grow as students.
My Project
Each afternoon my Kindergarten students work in centers. The ink, cardstock, page protectors, and binders will be used to replace literacy center binders that were lost in my classroom during a fire. The binders will include activities such as letter identification, sounds, letter formation, and rhyming.
Colorful and creative activities that make learning fun, helps to develop a love for learning in a child.
As a teacher, nothing is better than watching a child's face explode with pride as they grasp a new concept. These literacy binders will allow my amazing students to practice new skills in a fun and exciting way.
More than half of students from low‑income households
