Creating Lifelong Readers: High-Interest Books for Reluctant Readers

My Project

These books will allow my students to reach the ultimate goal of being lifelong readers. After looking at the books in our classroom library, I realized there weren't many books in our classroom that my students were interested in, and there were no books for my more reluctant readers!

The books added to our classroom library are for students to read and to do book "tastings" to find stories that lead them on literary adventures.

Our class goal this year is for each student to read 40 books each! Which is a lofty goal, and we currently only have about 30 books in our classroom library for them to share that are not representative of all of their interests.

These books would be used and loved dearly by all 60 of our upper elementary students!
