My students need supplies to create posters and other art projects that motivate the student body to improve grade, get involved and improve the community.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lester's classroom raised $600
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With so much available technology, getting students to want to be part of the school community is a near impossible. School dances, lunch time activities, incentives for grades and attendance, and social projects all provide the student body reasons to get involved beyond the classroom.
My students are wonderful but often overlooked.
Growing up in rough neighborhoods, poor families, and with lots of bad influences, has caused so many to already get into trouble and find themselves discarded by society. Many others just struggle with catching up with information they missed for so many reasons. Being an already lost generation, they are easy to give up on school. Leadership helps to give them something they can be part of, even if they can't figure out the parts of the cell.
My Project
Posters will be painted, clothes will stay clean (hopefully). Boxes and bags will be enlivened with student designed and created stencils spray painted on. Student NEOs will be revived with new batteries allowing all students to work on writing proposals. Students will be able to bring awareness for our school interests like - Denim Day, World AIDS Day, Earth Day, food & soldier care package drives.
Bare hallways indicate a dull, uninteresting school.
Colorful posters showing what is available in the school gets students motivated. Our school is motivated and involved in so many ways, now we just need the supplies to show what we are doing and what the students can get involved in.
