Do you remember the feeling you had the first time you saw yourself in a digital camera? My special education students love to see themselves in pictures and share them with their family. I have an amazing group of students who would benefit from a digital camera!
I teach a self-contained classroom with 9 students in grades 1-3.
My students face varying challenges including learning disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and attention disabilities. Many of them are auditory, kinesthetic or visual learners, timers, photos, picture schedules, and individual behavior charts are some of the tools provided to aid understanding of expectations.
My Project
My students would benefit from having a digital camera because it would help document their memories. With a digital camera available, I would be able to take photos of my students’ learning experiences throughout the year. I would be able to keep monthly records of our activities and send each student home at the end of the year with a memory book of their hard work that they could share with their family and friends.
