Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my 19th year teaching and the best one yet! I am at a brand new elementary school where students and parents have chosen to be part of this amazing adventure to create life-long learners. Our school's mindset is to be innovative and ask ourselves - "How Will I Change the WORLD?" I have 23 Kindergartners from across the district, with various backgrounds, personalities, and interests. My students are entering school for the first time and they are so excited to come to class and learn new concepts and solve problems. I want to give my students the chance to collaborate with each other and have fun while learning!

My Project

Through cooperative play and exploration, students will develop critical thinking skills they can apply in the real world.

The engaging, hands-on activities in this mobile station will provide my students with opportunities to creatively solve problems while deepening their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The activities in these kits include figuring out how to build a house for the Three Little Pigs that the Big Bad Wolf can't blow down, and how to build a raft to save the Gingerbread Man from the fox- fun projects that promote innovative thinking that is essential to my students' future success.
