This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a K-8 public school in the Bronx. I have 25 bright children with a need and want to succeed. My students favorite part of the day is Center Time. During centers, the students are allowed to participate in learning games and activities that are differentiated to meet their individual academic needs. They look forward to showcasing their strengths; as well as, practicing in areas where they struggle. They enjoy using the materials provided as a way for them to interact with others in the class.

As a teacher, I believe that to create a deep understanding of information is to learn through exploration.

With help, I want to continue to provide a classroom environment that is filled with the learning tools that will allow my children to explore and learn new information in an engaging way.

My Project

The chair organizers and literacy/math centers will allow my students to work independently and develop their autonomy. These materials provided by donors will also help my English Language Learners with their acquisition of English by providing them with differentiated support and an organized way to house these materials. As a teacher, I believe that to create a deep understanding of information, is to learn through exploration and play. With help, I want to continue to provide a classroom environment filled with the learning tools that will allow my children to explore different content areas, and learn this new information in an engaging way.
