This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a diverse bunch of students that are excited about learning. During our morning meeting, I hear kids saying "I am happy because I am at school." They are always willing to participate in class. I love to see all their hands go up! They love to read. Every chance they get, students pull out a book. Every time I get to add a new book to our classroom library, they all want to be the first to read it! They love to go on our digital reading platforms, which we will use a lot this year!
My Project

My students this year are happy to be back in the classroom and are eager to learn.
However, at home learning last year impacted the progress they generally make in 1st grade, and they need to do some catch up work. I will need some kindergarten and 1st grade decoable books to help me do this. I want to create an environment where my students can feel comfortable reading and have fun without frustration. I can do that with these books! Thank you for considering my project!
