Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergartners are social learners. We build a strong community over the school year. They learn to socialize while learning. Therefore it is important they have the materials and tools needed to accomplish their academic and social goals.

The materials requested will help my students exercise their brains.

They will also work together to build and collaborate ideas as a community. My students learn best when they can connect with their peers. I want to provide as much opportunities as I can so they can connect to the learning and grow together as a class.

Most of my students are English learners. Therefore, it is important they have the tools and visual support to continue their learning journey. Kindergarten can provide great educational beginnings. However, the learning gap in low-income communities has revealed that their schools lack supplies and tools needed to support growth. Having these materials like folders, play dough, lego, paint, STEM kits, electric drill, and building toys in the beginning of the year will help decrease the learning gap. They can start the year great.
