This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of their stories and their artwork that goes on my wall of fame tell me about what they have read and what they want to read next. Some who have trouble reading and writing reach out to know what they can read or do. Creating their own books and being their own illustrators helps them grow as readers. We need books that can help nurture this desire for reading and improve their reading skills.

My Project

The following decodable books will be used to help students improve their reading skills. These books will be available in circulation for students to take home or to be used in their free time to challenge and again improve their reading. I will be creating work pages that tie into these books for those wanting additional help with their reading skills. This project will help every student at my school site at any age become a great reader that they can be proud of. Let's get out and get reading.
