Creating Global Talented and Gifted Students Through Technology

Help me give my students ( Talented, Gifted, and High Achievers) access to technology for the various STEAM, critical thinking, and creativity projects & lessons they are given daily.

My Students

I teach in a school where the students are eager to learn and put forth the effort to do so every day. Coming from low to low-middle socio-economic households, they do not always have access to the resources that they need to be successful within the classroom. This not only has an effect on them academically but emotionally as well, as they would like to have the same opportunities that some of their classmates are fortunate enough to have.

Although we may be limited in resources, our talented and gifted students are striving to make learning great by integrating STEAM and becoming global citizens!

I do my best to ensure that learning is fun and that students are fully engaged.

My Project

Access to the Asus Laptops, technology will allow me, as an educator, to give my Talented and Gifted students lesson extensions that they are fully engaged in. The laptops will give my students the opportunity to complete fun projects and participate in collaborative group projects. Effective technology integration gives students the chance to be more actively involved in the learning process in a way that engages them.

In my classroom, m students focus on critical thinking, creativity, and STEAM.

What an amazing opportunity it would be if the students could take virtual field trips, explore WebQuests, and collaborate on lessons with their global neighbors through Skype and Google Hangouts, with new Chromebook laptops!
