My Students

Our school is awesome. I have been there for about six years. The principal and the staff are great to work with because we all help each other. We work collaboratively in order to benefit students, so that they will increase their knowledge in many subject areas. The school that the students attend is wonderful overall. Unfortunately, it just lacks good materials. As an educator, I try to find what can be the best for my students. This year, I have 30 second graders. I teach English as a second language, language arts, math, and science. My students are all wonderful and eager to read magazines with current events. My students like and enjoy the Everyday Math program that we use every year. This program begins when students are in kindergarten. Now my students are in second grade, and the challenge is for the students to use activities to build on knowledge in difficult math concepts.

My Project

By donating to this project, my students will gain access to technology that helps provide engaging, hands-on science experiments. This will further their love of learning and curiosity about the world around them. This will also help to build competence in scientific concepts.

The questions, step-by-step investigations and video clips provide an inspiration to love and study science.

Students are more inclined to learn through technology which is supported in Mystery Science. The children are naturally curious, so why not foster their wonders through scientific explorations? These captivating lessons are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and support the Common Core Standards.
