My students need 3 copies of "Bullying In Schools," Magnetic Display Clips, and a Read-Along Listening Center box to Keep all of the Tag Readers organized.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is a Bully Free Zone. We practice daily how to share and use kind words. During centers, the children practice using kinds words such as "please" and "thank you" when sharing at the centers. Now we need to keep it organized!
I am privileged to teach 20 Kindergarten students.
They are eager and excited to learn. My students attend a large public school and come from low income households. Most students are learning English as a second language and are attending school for the first time. They don't have many opportunities to use resources such as Tag Readers unless it is in our class. I am also introducing organization methods to my students through this project. It is important to encourage this type of behavior at a young age.
My Project
My students need Bullying In Schools, Magnetic Display Clips, and a Read-Along Listening Center box to Keep all of the Tag Readers organized. Having books about how to deal with Bullying will help my young learners understand that bullying is not acceptable behavior. Providing the Read-Along Listening Center and the magnetic clips for our new reading center, will allow the students to manage the center and encourage using kind words. In addition the students will have the opportunity to practice communication skills, and learn to read. This will be so exciting for my young learners! They will have the opportunity to hear new stories, as well as discuss characters and setting. These experiences will be so good for my English Language Learners because it will provide opportunities to become confident in speaking as well as learning to read!
Your support will help my students become good citizens as well as lifelong readers.
We all know how important reading is, and you can be part of helping a child become successful in life. These items will mean so much to my students because they will all have an opportunity to share the love of reading!
