My Project
My AP Composition and Literature students will be reading Frankenstein. Frankenstein's monster is a major point of analysis and critical thinking in the novel as he also represents many of the novel's historical fears.
I want to have my students develop their own Frankenstein's monster based on what they feel is their own major fear or the major fear of society today.
Accompanied with this creation using modeling clay, paints, sculpting tools, etc., will be an in depth analysis and comparison, bringing the story of Frankenstein into modern day relevance.
Through your donation for these materials, my students with kinesthetically be able to draw out the modern day fears of themselves and others, while offering a visual representation of a literary analysis.
Using a physical medium also allows for me to bring hands on learning into my ELA classroom which is something I have wanted to be for a long time.
