This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, learning happens in many ways — independently, in small groups, through hands-on activities, and quiet reflection. With so much happening at once, it can be challenging for students to stay focused, especially those who benefit from minimal distractions or need a calming space to regroup. That’s why we’re requesting a room divider: a simple but powerful tool that will help transform our learning environment to better meet the diverse needs of our students.

A room divider will allow us to create designated areas within the classroom — whether it’s a quiet reading nook, a calm-down corner for emotional regulation, or a focused zone for testing and independent work.

It will give students the physical and visual boundaries they need to feel secure, stay engaged, and thrive academically and socially.

This small addition will make a big impact by promoting flexibility, reducing sensory overload, and encouraging self-directed learning. With your support, we can design a more inclusive and responsive space where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
