Help me give my students updated graphic novels that will help them navigate the complex culture in which they are growing up.

My Project
Our students have been flocking to the manga and graphic novels collection to check out their favorite books to read, re-read, and read yet again! They can't get enough, and are constantly suggesting new titles and updates to well-loved copies of their favorites! And the best part is that graphic novels help our students furthest from educational justice understand nuance in writing.
Graphic novels are excellent for building reading stamina, but more importantly they help students develop critical thinking skills, identify subtlety in writing, and better process the complex ideas in their lives and in their learning.
Students who read graphic novels can explore everyday situations through complex ideas without having to navigate multiple paragraphs of exposition that would be required in an article or textbook. Even better, these well-drawn panels and visual depictions show our students complex situations in families, relationships, school, culture, society, conflict, and more. And by allowing our students to join these characters as they navigate complex situations, our students can alongside the characters.
These skills help our students navigate their own lives and the complex social, emotional, and academic demands placed on them.
