This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The following items purchased will go towards our classroom and will provide students the opportunity to have coping tools at hand. Students can use the sand to help calm them down, comfortable chairs to sit on the floor rather than a desk all day, smells in the classroom to support sensory needs, and light covers that provide light that will help decrease headaches.
The goal is to create an environment that encompasses the WHOLE child.
Children who may be struggling with the return of in person school will truly gain comfort while learning their daily standards math, reading, writing, science, social studies, SEL, etc...
